The Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Abdel Fattah Al-burhan, arrived on Tuesday at the Kadaru military area north of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

The Sudanese army media broadcast footage of Al-burhan’s visit to the Kadro military base in Khartoum Bahri for the first time since the outbreak of the war in Sudan in mid-April last year.

On Sunday, the Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army, Lieutenant General Yasser Al-Atta, visited the Kadaru military base following a crossing operation by forces from the Karari military area.

Last Thursday morning, army forces carried out a major crossing from the Karari and Omdurman areas across 3 main bridges in the capital to Khartoum and Khartoum Bahri.

This operation led to a broad military opening for the Sudanese army, as military units from the eastern and western banks of the Nile River met for the first time in more than a year.

The military operation in Khartoum Bahri and the Al-Muqrin area in Khartoum also expanded with the army reclaiming new areas that were previously controlled by the Rapid Support Militia.
