A High-Level Sudanese Delegation Participates in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum

Sudan is participating with a high-level delegation in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, which will commence on September 3rd in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. The delegation is headed by the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and includes several ministers.
The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr Jibril Ibrahim, will lead Sudan’s delegation at the forum’s ministerial conference on September 3rd in preparation for the summit.
The ministerial conference, which will hold preparatory sessions with the participation of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Energy, along with a technical team from the two ministries and the Ministry of Finance, aims to evaluate the outcomes of the 8th Dakar Ministerial Conference of the forum and prepare for the Beijing Summit.
The chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and the participating ministers are expected to meet with their Chinese counterparts and some of their African counterparts on the sidelines of the forum.
Additionally, the Minister of Finance is expected to meet with relevant Chinese authorities responsible for implementing and following up on the forum’s programs and other Chinese initiatives to discuss ways and mechanisms to enhance cooperation between the two countries and overcome any possible obstacles.
