Sudan FM condemns Israel’s recognition of “Somaliland”, Expresses Concern over the Southern Transitional Council’s Actions in Yemen

The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has expressed complete rejection and strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s recognition of the Somaliland region.

In a separate statement, it also expressed its deep concern regarding the developments and unilateral actions taken by the Southern Transitional Council in the governorates of Al-Mahra and Hadramawt, Yemen.

A statement issued on Saturday by the office of the ministry’s official spokesperson said that the Israeli occupation’s move violates international conventions and constitutes a dangerous precedent that undermines the stability and security of the entire region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed its full solidarity with the “brotherly Somali people” and its complete support for the unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia and its full sovereignty over all its internationally recognized territory and borders.

In a separate statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expressed its deep concern regarding the developments and unilateral actions taken by the Southern Transitional Council in the governorates of Al-Mahra and Hadramawt in Yemen, which threaten efforts to establish security and restore stability.

The statement said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation expresses its full solidarity with the brotherly Yemeni people, the Presidential Leadership Council and the government of the Republic of Yemen in achieving security and stability, and stresses the importance of cooperation between Yemeni forces to end the escalation, prioritize the public interest and spare the country further tension and division.
