US Secretary of State Calls UAE Counterpart on Humanitarian Ceasefire in Sudan

The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, spoke by phone with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Friday, the State Department said.

Deputy Spokesperson Tommy Piggott indicated that the two ministers continued their discussions on joint efforts to achieve a humanitarian ceasefire in Sudan.

She added that Secretary Rubio and Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the strategic relationship between the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
