Dozens of Martyrs and Injured in RSF Shelling of Mosque in El Fasher

More than eighty people were killed or injured at dawn today, on Friday, after the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) shelled a mosque in the city of El Fasher while worshippers were performing the dawn prayer.

Figures reported on social media varied regarding the number of martyrs, with some stating around 40 and others citing as many as 80. Field sources attributed the discrepancy to the fact that some of the wounded later succumbed to their injuries.

Civil society organizations and activists on social media condemned the heinous crime and called on international and human rights organizations to denounce the systematic atrocities committed by the RSF, urging that the group be designated as a terrorist organization.ج
