Investment Secretary Reaffirms Commitment to Economic Partnerships

The Acting Secretary-General of the National Investment Authority, Ahlam Mahdi Sabeel, affirmed Sudan’s commitment to promoting and encouraging initiatives of cooperation and economic partnerships with friendly countries to face the challenges and transformations of the global economy, with the aim of achieving mutual interests.

Addressing the Sudanese-Brazilian Forum in São Paulo today (Thursday), Sabeel said: “The convening of this forum at this pivotal stage in Sudan’s history represents a sign of hope and a gateway to the future, as we begin the first steps of national recovery by crossing the regional bridge into the heart of South America, to friendly Brazil.” She praised Brazil’s significant economic role in Africa.

The Secretary-General of the National Investment Authority called for leveraging Sudan’s comparative advantages in available resources and combining them with capital to foster joint ventures across various business sectors. She pointed out that Sudan’s geographic location as Africa’s gateway with access to the Red Sea makes it a hub for cooperation in many fields.

She further noted that the forum is an opportunity for all sectors to establish smart partnerships that can help drive Sudan’s economy forward and achieve mutual benefits.
