Intelligence Service: Promotions, Retirement, and New Assignments

The Sudanese General Intelligence Service said a decision was issued on Friday promoting and sending into retirement a number of officers, while at the same time assigning active-duty officers to other posts within the system.
A press release by the Service’s Media Department stated that the move comes “within the framework of the Service’s annual and periodic arrangements to consolidate its approach based on renewing blood, enhancing efficiency, and keeping pace with the requirements of continuous development.”
In the press release, the Service affirmed its “deep appreciation and gratitude to its officers who retired after giving their utmost efforts and devoting their lives in the fields of duty,” noting that “their legacy will remain present and preserved in the institution’s record of loyalty and reverence.”
The release added that the General Intelligence Service would continue to look after the interests of the nation and its security, safeguarding its future, adhering to the values of sacrifice, loyalty, and devotion, and continuing to fulfill its national mission with a spirit of giving and loyalty to the people of Sudan.
The release issued by the agency has not however mentioned the most prominent names of those sent into retirement, nor the names of those promoted, or the assignments they were assigned.
