Turkey and United States Discuss Situation in Sudan

U.S. Presidential Envoy for African Affairs, Messad Boulos, announced that he met on Friday in Istanbul with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack to discuss his country’s efforts in Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and other African issues.

Boulos stated that both sides affirmed that creating the conditions for peace is essential to enable long-term growth and prosperity across the African continent.

He added in a post on his account on the X platform that the United States and Turkey will continue their joint efforts on a number of files to deepen cooperation and strengthen relations.
