Sudan’s Sovereignty Council Chairman and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, reaffirmed the state’s determination to break the sieges on El Fasher, Kadugli, Babanusa, and Dilling.

During a visit to the Ministry of Interior and in an address at a media briefing organized by the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Al-Burhan stated that continuous efforts are underway around the clock to achieve this goal, expressing confidence that success will come soon, God willing, bringing security, stability, and development to citizens.

He emphasized that the battle will persist until the entire country is cleared of the rebels and mercenaries. Al-Burhan noted that Khartoum is a city of great historical significance and is worthy of the sacrifices made to cleanse it of the rebels, including the loss of precious lives and efforts by all forces involved in the national Dignity War.

“Our citizens who have offered their sons in sacrifice for the nation deserve our full efforts and commitment to supporting the reconstruction of the national capital,” he said, stressing that rebuilding efforts will continue.

The Sovereign Council leader paid tribute to the members of the Sudanese police, highlighting their essential role in state-building and ensuring the safety of the people.

He also offered prayers for the martyrs of the national Dignity War and praised the efforts of Khartoum State and the Ministry of Interior in securing the capital, restoring services such as water and electricity, and rehabilitating facilities damaged by the Al-Dagalo militia.
