Sudan Extends Opening of Adré Border Crossing to Facilitate Humanitarian Aid

Khartoum – Sudanhizon
The Government of Sudan has announced the extension of the opening of the Adré border crossing with neighboring Chad to support the continued delivery of humanitarian assistance to those affected by the country’s ongoing conflict.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Office of the Spokesperson and Media Department, the crossing will remain open for an additional three months — from May 16 to August 15, 2025. The decision underscores Sudan’s commitment to easing the flow of relief aid to its citizens and reflects its constructive engagement with the international community in addressing the humanitarian crisis.
The Sudanese authorities emphasised that the move is part of broader efforts to coordinate humanitarian response and ensure timely access to aid for war-affected populations across the country.
