Khartoum – Sudan Horizon
Khartoum State Water Corporation said that its engineering teams were able to successfully operate North Bahri Water Station and re-operate the pumping station in Al-Niya area.
The Director General of the Corporation, Engineer Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, explained during his inspection visit to the station site, Sunday, that the station has resumed pumping and that this would secure delivery of water supplies from Garri in the north to Al-Kadaro in the south, appreciating the efforts exerted by the working teams and that they camped at the site for more than a month until the process culminated in the operation of the station.
He stated that the repair and maintenance work would continue steadily, with all water stations in the state operating to provide water supplies and ensure the provision of services to people who have returned to their homes. He said instructions were given to Bahri Water Administration to develop a plan to address water pipelines breaks in the area.
