Director of Mineral Resources Discloses to (Sudanhorizon) Gold Production Figures for January and February

The Director-General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mohamed Tahir Omar, disclosed the gold production figures for January and February 2025.
In an exclusive statement to (Sudanhorizon), Tahir stated that “the country’s gold production reached 13 tons during January and February of this year.”
Gold accounts for approximately 80% of Sudan’s total exports.
According to government statistics, Sudan’s gold production amounted to about 64 tons last year, of which 31 tons were officially exported. The value of the gold produced was $1.55 billion.
