National Army Takes Control of “Jabal Moya”, Sinnar State

Since Thursday evening, the Sudanese National Army has extended its control over “Jabal Moya”, Sinnar axis, following fierce fighting with the rebel Rapid Support Militias.
Informed sources told the Sudanhorizon news website that the Sudanese National Armed Forces advancing from the White Nile State have surrounded “Jabal Moya” since early morning, along with the army forces advancing from Sinnar. Jabal Moya is located at the national road intersection between Sinnar and White Nile States.
Violent battles took place around the perimeter of Jabal Saqdi and Jabal Moya before the army took control of the area, having destroyed several militia combat vehicles, according to the field source.
Jabal Moya is located in Sinnar State in central Sudan. It is 24 kilometres from the city of Sinnar and 71 kilometres from the city of Rabak and is of great strategic and economic importance.
In the same context, the Transitional Sovereign Council said in a statement received by Sudanhorizon that Transitional Sovereign Council member, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Shams Eddin Kabashi, paid field inspected the front lines in White Nile State, and commended what has been achieved on all fronts and axes.
Kabashi received a comprehensive briefing on the progress of military operations during his meeting with officers, non-commissioned officers, troops of the 18th Infantry Division, and volunteers in the state in the presence of Major General Haider Ali Al-Taraifi, Supervisor of White Nile Operations, and Major General Sami Al-Tayeb, Commander of the 18th Infantry Division.
It is to be mentioned that Lieutenant General Shams Eddin Kabashi arrived on Thursday in White Nile State as part of his inspection visits to military divisions and units, according to the statement.
