Foreign Minister: Our Diplomatic Battle Continues to Support the Armed Forces and Achieve Peace

Prime Minister Kamil Idris reviewed, during a meeting on Monday with Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mohieddin Salem, the outcomes of Sudan’s delegation participation in the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Foreign Minister said in a press statement that he had briefed the Prime Minister on the delegation’s participation and the meetings he held on the sidelines with a number of heads of delegations from participating countries, as well as representatives of international and regional organizations. He also highlighted the delegation’s participation in activities held on the margins of the meetings.

Ambassador Mohieddin Salem explained that the meeting also addressed the overall plans and programmes to be implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the remainder of this year, which the government has designated as a year for achieving peace and security throughout the country, in line with the sacrifices being made by the Sudanese Armed Forces on the ground.

The Foreign Minister affirmed that the diplomatic battle being led by his ministry comes in support of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the forces supporting them, noting that he had received specific directives and assignments from the Prime Minister that the ministry would work to implement during the coming phase.
