Blue Nile Celebrates Tree Day with Participation of Youth and Sports Minister

Minister of Youth and Sports Professor Ahmed Adam on Saturday attended, alongside members of the Federal Sports Caravan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry’s Tree Day celebration in Damazin.
The event was held in front of the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Division and attended by Blue Nile Region Governor Ahmed Badi and Commander of the 4th Infantry Division Major General Ismail Al-Tayeb Abbas. The celebration coincided with the Sudanese Armed Forces’ 72nd anniversary celebrations.
The minister stressed the importance of youth participation in tree-planting and environmental protection programs, describing young people as the largest force capable of leading community initiatives. He said the ministry would encourage young people to participate in planting and preserving trees and link environmental activities with youth, sports, and sustainable development programs.
He said the participation of the Federal Sports Caravan in the Tree Day celebration in Damazin underscored that the role of young people extends beyond sports to encompass community, environmental, and reconstruction issues. He called on young people to take the initiative and contribute to expanding vegetation cover and preserving natural resources.
The minister stressed that investing in young people is an investment in Sudan’s future, adding that their participation in tree planting represents a practical message aimed at building a better environment and a more sustainable future.
