Committee for the Exchange of Detainees: Working Diligently to Submit the File on Time

The third consecutive meeting of the committee tasked with preparing for the exchange of detainees held by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, on Saturday met in the presence of all members, a meeting that reviewed the ongoing communication with the United Nations regarding this matter. The meeting also examined the latest arrangements for registering and classifying detainees, preparing the necessary records and data lists.

The meeting further reviewed the main points of the final report on the preparatory process and the plan developed for implementing all phases of the exchange and the subsequent requirements for supporting the detainees.

In a press release obtained by Sudanhorizon, the committee affirmed its continued diligent work and full cooperation with all relevant parties to ensure thorough preparation and the timely submission of its final report.
It is worth noting that the committee was formed by a recent decree issued by the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, No. 270 of 2026.
