Human Resources Minister Pledges Full Support for Sennar Peace Agreement Implementation

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Welfare, Mutasim Ahmed Saleh, has pledged to mobilize government support for implementing the provisions of the community peace agreement and reconciliation between ethnic groups in the Al-Dindir locality of Sinnar State, according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).

In a meeting with the Governor of Sinnar State, Major General (Retired) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayed, in Khartoum Sunday, the Minister affirmed that providing basic services is a basic right for all people, regardless of the exceptional events that Al-Dindir locality witnessed due to community clashes.
Saleh set the end of this year as the deadline for completing the construction of a vocational training center in Sinnar State. He explained the importance of having a vocational training center in Sinnar, stating that “the country needs skilled workers to replace foreign labor and to transform Sinnar into an industrial state, accompanied by providing insurance coverage for maintenance of center.
The minister noted that his ministry has allocated 2,000 projects in Sinnar State targeting the most vulnerable groups, particularly women and people with disabilities, ensuring equitable access to social services by prioritizing the poorest segments of society.

Saleh emphasized the ministry’s commitment to providing services to people, especially in health, development, and education, and prioritizing production areas in the allocation of Zakat funds, coupled with state support for social peace. He pointed out that the Cabinet will support community reconciliation in Sinnar by providing the necessary tools to ensure its success.
For his part, the Governor of Sinnar, Major General (Retired) Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayed, affirmed the state government’s commitment to making the community reconciliation in Sinnar a model for addressing similar problems in other parts of Sudan.
The governor stated that the state relies on the government of hope and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to implement the terms of the reconciliation agreement between the ethnic groups in the Al-Dindir locality.
