Workshop in Port Sudan to Reconstruct Khartoum

A workshop to reconstruct Khartoum State will be held in Port Sudan the day after tomorrow, on Tuesday, under the auspices of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.

The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, said that the workshop was prepared after the issuance of the decision to develop the Khartoum Appeal to aid the needy affected by the war into a comprehensive program for reconstruction and recovery.

The governor added that a coordinator for the program was appointed and the coordinator worked with a team of specialists to conduct an initial inventory of the facilities damaged by the war.

The coordinator of the reconstruction program, Saif El-Din Mukhtar, explained that the workshop will discuss three papers, the first titled Reconstruction and the Challenges of Reality, the second Reconstruction and Making the Future, a Strategic Vision, and the third Khartoum State Vision for Reconstruction and Recovery.
