Diplomatic Missions Team in Asmara Wins Africa Day Cup Amid Broad Diplomatic Participation

The team representing diplomatic missions accredited to Eritrea was crowned champion of the Africa Day Football Tournament after securing an exciting 5–4 victory over the Eritrean Ministry of Foreign Affairs team in a friendly match held on Saturday in the capital, Asmara, before a large gathering of government officials and diplomats.

The tournament formed part of the sporting and cultural activities organized by the African Group in Asmara, led by the Embassies of South Africa and Sudan, in celebration of Africa Day and in support of stronger bonds of brotherhood and solidarity among African nations and peoples.
