Burhan: We Will Rebuild an Army Different in Terms of Equipment, Efficiency, Organizational Structure

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has stressed that the Sudanese people’s support for their armed forces was key to victory over the enemy. He added, “We have succeeded in restoring Sudan, and in the future, we can rebuild the Sudanese state on sound national foundations.”
Burhan was speaking to SAF senior officers on Thursday, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, at the Army General Command headquarters in Khartoum. Also present were the Assistant Commanders-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabbashi, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Yasser al-Atta, Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris, and Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber.
A statement published on SAF official spokesperson’s account quoted Burhan as saying that confronting the aggression against the Sudanese people, which began on April 15, 2023, will continue. He affirmed that all efforts will be exerted until all territories defiled by the rebellion are liberated and the mercenaries and militias are eliminated.
Burhan explained that SAF action progress with confident and precise steps, indicating that once this war is over, they will have established a powerful army, different from the previous one in terms of equipment, efficiency, and organizational structure.
Burhan stated that the experience gained by SAF over the past three years is sufficient to make them stronger, more unified, and more cohesive in the face of all the challenges facing the country. He praised the fighting spirit of the forces in the Battle of Dignity.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces reassured the Sudanese people that his armed forces are moving swiftly towards crushing these rebels and eliminating them completely.
He added, “We will not give them a chance to return again,” indicating that there will be no Rapid Support Forces militia in Sudan, that there is no place for any rebel in the country, and that talk of consultations in Bahrain is completely unfounded and baseless.
Burhan reiterated that what was reported by the Middle East newspaper is entirely untrue, and that the armed forces are continuing the Battle of Dignity until its conclusion, and victory will be theirs thanks to the determination of its men and the will of the Sudanese people.
Burhan praised the people’s trust in their forces and their support for them in the pursuit of the nation’s dignity and honor, noting the sacrifices of the supporting forces, the mobilized, and the popular resistance. He said, “Soon we will reach Darfur, city by city, and cleanse it of these rebels.”
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council welcomed the defection of “misguided fighters” from the ranks of the rebellion, saying that the doors of the nation and the armed forces are open to all who lay down their arms and join the nation’s path. He added, “There will be no more Janjaweed in Sudan,” and that the door is open to politicians who have not taken hostile stances against SAF and the nation.
