Sudanese Popular Artist Majzoub Ownsa Killed in Traffic Accident

The artistic community was shocked this morning (Monday) by the tragic death of artist Majzoub Ownsa in a traffic accident on the Al-Tahadi Road near the city of Shendi. His body was taken to Shendi Hospital morgue.
Ownsa was from the third-generation of Sudanese artists. He first appeared in the mid-1970s alongside the duo Mohamed Salam and Najm Al-Din Al-Fadil. He enriched the Sudanese music repertoire with patriotic and emotional works deeply ingrained in the hearts of the Sudanese people. He was known among his colleagues for his amiable nature and gentle character.
Ownsa was born in the village of Naqazu, in the rural area of Berber, River Nile State. He grew up in a family involved in gold trading and crafting, excelling in this profession before dedicating himself to singing and becoming one of the most prominent figures in the arts.
