Research Study: Bank of Khartoum Leads the Digital Banking Landscape in Sudan

A recent research study has revealed that Bank of Khartoum leads the Sudanese banking sector, reinforcing its position in adopting digital banking technologies and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction.
The results showed that 89.5% of participants use the “Bankak” application, compared to 15.5% for its closest competitor. The application accounted for 58.6% of all available banking applications in Sudan, clearly indicating its broad user base and widespread preference.
The study, conducted by researchers from Qassim University in Saudi Arabia and published in the sixth issue of the International Journal of Modern Research, focused on measuring customer satisfaction with mobile banking applications. The results showed clear dominance of the “Bankak” application, reflecting a high level of trust and widespread adoption among users.
These indicators underscore Bank of Khartoum’s leadership in digital banking services and its success in keeping pace with the rapid technological transformation within the banking sector by providing solutions that meet customer needs and aspirations, especially in an environment where the importance of digital services is increasing.
The study identified the most prominent factors influencing the widespread adoption of the “Bankak” application. Ease of use and the application’s interface design topped the list of these factors, followed by service quality, system stability, and technical support. This reflects the bank’s focus on developing the user experience and enhancing the efficiency of its digital services.
The high demand for the application and the high satisfaction rates reflect Bank of Khartoum’s commitment to providing reliable and efficient banking services, supported by a technological infrastructure that contributes to improved performance and expanded access to financial services.
In its recommendations, the study advised the Bank of Khartoum to continue investing in developing its digital applications and improving the user experience, emphasizing that the application represents one of its key strengths. It also recommended leveraging its broad customer base to enhance satisfaction levels and offer more innovative banking services.
