Ministry of Finance Lists Projects to Prioritize in Coming Phase

The Undersecretary of Planning at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Muhammad Bashar, has stressed the government’s interest in development projects in the vital and productive sectors and basic services as one of the priorities of the government plan to rehabilitate and rebuild what was destroyed by the war.
Bashar, in his meeting with the Executive Director of the Sudan Group at the African Development Bank at the Ministries offices in Port Sudan on Sunday stressed the importance of water, health, education, electricity and the agricultural sector projects saying those are a priority for implementation during the next stage.
He pointed to the need to pay attention to provide funding for small producers and small industries so as to help support the resilience of citizens.
For his part, Mr. Rufus, The Executive Director of the Sudan Group at the African Development Bank (ADB)said that his visit to the country aims to discuss issues related to the group and to identify the priorities of the Sudanese government for development and to see how they are in alignment with the financing Bank’s plans.
