SAF Explains Developments in Dilling Area

A statement issued by the General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) on Sunday explained the details of what happened in the city of Dilling, South Kordofan State, over the past two days.

The statement read, “During the past 24 hours, the heroes of Dilling, from the SAF and supporting forces, wrote a new epic of heroism as they repelled an attack launched by the terrorist Dagalo militia and its mercenaries.”

It added that the Armed Forces “fought a fierce battle with utmost bravery and steadfastness, inflicting heavy losses on the militia and its mercenaries in terms of lives and equipment. Thirty-six (36) combat vehicles were destroyed, and four (4) combat were captured in good condition. In addition, the militia sustained dozens of casualties in the attack.”

The statement affirmed that “the remnants of the terrorist militia fled in the face of focused strikes, causing complete collapse within their ranks, dragging the tails of defeat and disappointment, leaving behind their dead and equipment in the battlefield.”

The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) statement said what has been achieved in Dilling “confirms the unity of will between the Armed Forces and the people. It shows that the terrorist militia and its supporters are doomed.”
