PM And State Governors’ Committee Convene to Prepare For A Major Event

Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, held a meeting on Monday with the State Governors’ Committee, which included the governors of Khartoum, North Kordofan, River Nile, Qadarif, White Nile, Central Darfur, and West Darfur, as part of preparations for the 3rd Conference of State Governors set to take place in the national capital, Khartoum.
The Governor of North Kordofan, Professor Abdul-Khaliq Abdul-Latif Wadallah, explained in a press statement that the meeting discussed the overall security and service conditions in the states. He noted that the meeting was a continuation of the committee’s meetings to prepare for the Third Conference of State Governors in Khartoum.
The governor indicated that they have discussed the basis for distributing national revenues among the different levels of government, as well as addressing salary arrears and implementing the new salary structure in the states.
He added that the meeting also addressed strengthening coordination mechanisms between the federal and state governments to develop the 2026-2030 strategic plan.
