Al-Burhan Receives Qatari Ambassador and His Delegation in Khartoum

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received at his office in Khartoum on Monday His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Sada, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sudan, along with members of the Qatari diplomatic mission.

A press statement issued by the Sovereignty Council’s Media Office stated that the Council President praised the distinguished and deeply rooted fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, expressing his deep appreciation for the State of Qatar’s supportive positions toward Sudan and its people under various circumstances.

For his part, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, to the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, along with His Highness’s wishes for his continued health and happiness, and for Sudan — its government and people — continued progress, stability, and prosperity.

The ambassador congratulated the President of the Sovereignty Council on the government’s return to carrying out its duties from the capital, Khartoum, expressing hope that Sudan will witness further development, growth, stability, and peace.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand prospects for joint cooperation in all fields, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
