Sennar State Governor Calls for Encouragement of Agricultural Investment

The Governor of Sennar State, Gen, Al-Zubair Hassan Al-Sayyid, has underlined the need to provide further incentives for agricultural investment in the state and build an attractive environment for investors. He instructed that strategies to develop the export of horticultural products and raise their quality, be promptly developed.

The Sudan News Agency reported that the governor held an expanded meeting on Thursday to discuss ways to develop the agricultural sector in the state and activate the production process.

The meeting, which brought together the ministers of production, economic and financial sectors, the management of irrigated projects, and the Investment Commission, discussed the mechanisms for operating irrigated agricultural projects and attracting investments in this field.

The meeting stressed the importance of joint coordination between financial and technical bodies to ensure continuity of production and provide the necessary facilities for the renaissance of the agricultural sector in Sennar State.
