PM Visits Ministry of Defense Quarters, Commends SAF’s Roles

The Sudanese Prime Minister, Dr. Kamil Idris, paid a field visit to the head-offices of the Ministry of Defense in Khartoumon Tuesday, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Ali Muhammad Ali.

The Prime Minister was received by the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Hassan Daoud Kabroun.

During his meeting with the ministry staff, the Prime Minister commended the significant role played by the Ministry of Defense in the “battle for dignity” and the defense of Sudan and its national unity.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Ministry of Defense has played a leading role in defending Sudanese identity throughout history, praising the sacrifices of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), the security forces, and the supporting units in the battle for dignity.

For his part, the Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Hassan Kabroun, has welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit, explaining that it reflects the country’s leadership’s interest in the role played by the Ministry of Defense.

He stressed that the Ministry of Defense will remain the primary force for the success of the government’s plans and programs and will work in coordination with relevant authorities to enforce the state’s prestige and the rule of law.

He emphasized that the Ministry of Defense is proceeding with determination and strength to deter anyone who dares to tamper with the country’s resources and gains.
