Burhan Congratulates Museveni on Re-election

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, made a phone call today with the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, congratulating him on his re-election as President of the Republic of Uganda for a new presidential term.

The Chairman of the Sovereign Council conveyed the congratulations of the Sudanese government and people to the Ugandan people on the successful electoral process, which was conducted in an atmosphere of calm and stability, emphasizing the depth of Sudanese-Ugandan relations.

Lieutenant General al-Burhan pointed to the ties that bind the two friendly nations, noting that the two countries enjoy close cooperation in various fields.
