A High level Official Sudan Delegation Participates  in the International Mining Conference in Riyadh

A High level official Sudan delegation is taking part  in the International Mining Conference  being held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, from January 13 to 15. The conference is witnessing broad participation from ministers, decision-makers, and major international companies operating in the mining sector.

The Sudanese delegation is led by the Minister of Minerals, Professor Nour Al-Daem Taha, accompanied by a technical delegation led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Hind Siddiq, along with the Director General of the General Authority for Geological Research, Geological Consultant Ahmed Haroun Al-Toumi, the Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mohamed Taher Omar, and the Director of the Single Window for Gold Exports.

Representatives from several national mining companies and a group of entrepreneurs and investors are also part of the delegation.

Sudan’s participation in the forum aims to strengthen its regional and international presence, showcase investment opportunities in the minerals sector, and explore prospects for cooperation and partnerships with international entities, leveraging its diverse mineral resources and promising potential in the mining field.

Sudan is participating for the first time in the exhibition accompanying the forum, with a pavilion featuring units from the Ministry of Minerals, along with several private sector companies. The pavilion showcases investment opportunities, geological data, and economically viable mining projects.

The Future Minerals Forum is a leading international platform for discussing issues related to mineral value chains, supply sustainability, and the role of minerals in supporting energy transition and economic development. It features broad participation from governments, international institutions, and major global mining companies.
