Zain announced the completion of the sixth cohort of its Women in Technology (WIT) program, as part of the second edition of the initiative, which is still ongoing. This comes within the company’s continued commitment to supporting and empowering young women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The sixth cohort welcomed 55 female trainees, including university students and recent graduates.

In addition to professional capacity building, the program focused on bridging the digital gender gap through a specialized mentorship framework that enabled participants to benefit directly from Zain employees’ expertise and gain practical, hands-on knowledge.

The cohort’s activities included structured training programs and practical assignments delivered virtually under the supervision of Zain staff dedicated mentors, alongside knowledge-sharing sessions and interactive workshops.

These activities were designed to enhance technical and leadership skills and to strengthen the participants’ readiness to enter the job market.

Zain emphasized that the Women in Technology program is a core component of its strategy to support human development and increase women’s participation in the technology sector. The initiative aligns with the company’s vision to empower young talent and contribute to preparing a generation capable of keeping pace with rapid digital transformation, while supporting innovation and sustainable growth across the communities it serves.
