Zain Fintech Sudan and Visa Sign Strategic Partnership to Issue Digital Cards via “Bede” Platform

Zain Fintech Sudan has announced the signing of a strategic agreement with global payments leader Visa to launch the Visa Pay service in Sudan through the “Bede” platform. This step marks a significant development in the country’s digital financial services sector.
Through Visa Pay, users will be able to access virtual Visa cards, link them to their digital wallets, and carry out secure online transactions with ease.
This will contribute to enhancing financial inclusion and making innovative payment solutions accessible to various segments of Sudanese society, in line with Zain Group’s strategic vision for digital empowerment and inclusive economic growth.
The agreement is an extension of an existing partnership between Zain Sudan and Visa, reflecting the shared commitment of both parties to expanding financial inclusion and fostering innovation in the Sudanese market.
The agreement was signed by Ms. Wafaa Hamoudi, General Manager of Zain Fintech – the digital financial arm of Zain Sudan – in the presence of Eng. Nizar Musa, Chief Operating Officer of Zain Sudan, and several Visa executives including Leila Serhan, Group Country Manager for North Africa, Levant and Pakistan; Godfrey Sullivan, Head of Product, Solutions and Digital, CEMEA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Ahmed Mohey, Country Manager for Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Sudan and Tunisia. The signing took place during the Visa Payment Forum held in Barcelona, Spain.
This collaboration comes as part of preparations to launch future digital card services in Sudan. The Visa Pay service is set to be introduced soon via the Bede platform, with the official launch date to be announced once the necessary technical and administrative preparations are completed. for Algeria, Libya, Mauritania, Sudan and Tunisia
