“We Will Either Triumph or Die” – El-Fashir’s Health Minister to “Sudanhorizon”: “We Have Held Firm in El-Fashir, We Trust Ourselves, and No Longer Believe in the Slogans of the International Community”

Cairo – Sudanhorizon – Sabah Musa
Ibrahim Abdullah Khatir, the Health Minister of North Darfur State, confirmed that the humanitarian situation in El-Fashir is extremely dire and that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia committed genocide in the Zamzam displacement camp.
In exclusive statements to Sudanhorizon, Khatir stated that the militia carried out every form of killing, looting, and forced displacement in the Zamzam camp. He added that there is a mass exodus of civilians fleeing into El-Fashir city, as people no longer trust the RSF and are escaping areas under their control.
He dismissed RSF second-in-command Abdul Rahim Dagalo’s claims about “protecting those fleeing Zamzam” as “cheap propaganda.” The militia has targeted all public and private hospitals, health centres, and medical equipment in El-Fashir, Mellit, Kutum, Um Kadada, Kabkabiya, and other towns, destroying them completely.
Deliberate Attacks on Medical Facilities
The Saudi Hospital in El-Fashir has been bombed over 20 times with heavy artillery.
Three days ago, a suicide drone struck the hospital’s rest area, which was full of wounded patients.
Any gathering of more than eight people is targeted.
Any area with lighting is shelled.
Collapsing Health System
Severe shortages of medicine and fuel.
The RSF blocks medical supplies from entering the state.
Medical staff are being assassinated—10 healthcare workers were killed in a single day.
A City Under Siege
The RSF continues indiscriminate shelling with heavy artillery, strategic drones, and suicide attacks.
They are now targeting Abu Shouk camp, aiming to empty El-Fashir of its population.
“They are killing civilians, not military forces. The real victims are the people.”
Defiance in the Face of Annihilation
“El-Fashir will not fall, no matter the siege or bombardment.”
“We will not abandon El-Fashir—we will either triumph or die here.”
Shocking Death Toll
At least 25,000 dead or wounded in El-Fashir alone since the war began.
An estimated 500 to 600 martyrs in the Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps.
A Call to Arms
“The time has come to break the siege by force.”
“We have no trust in the international community—only in our army and people.”
“What is taken by force can only be reclaimed by force.”
“There can be no peace with this militia.”
Final Words
“The facts have proven that the international community only cares about its own interests.”
“We no longer believe in their slogans about human rights.”
El-Fashir stands—resisting, bleeding, but unbroken.
