Shandi – Sudanhorizon

At least eight people were killed and 22 others were injured in a drone attack on a camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Shandi locality, River Nile State, on Friday, the Security Committee Rapporteur and River Nile State Police Director, Major General Salman Mohammed Al-Tayeb, told local media.

The Railway Vocational Training Institute in the Al-Muqran area of Shandi locality, which houses dozens of IDP families from other states, was attacked by “strategic” drone.

The power transformer station in Atbara was also attacked.

The River Nile State Security Committee condemned this attack, describing it as “treacherous,” targeting innocent civilians and vital service and facilities in the state, a matter reflecting the helplessness and despair of the rebellious terrorist militia.
