UNSC to Hold a Session on Sudan in March

The UN Security Council is due to hold its second special session this month on Sudan on the 17th of March.

A diplomatic source who spoke to Sudanhorizon news website, said the UN Security Council meeting will focus on listening to the regular report of the head of the Special Sanctions Committee, and the committee’s activity during the past period, including the following sanctions imposed on Sudan under Resolution 1591, 2005.

According to the council’s media, the council will hold another meeting on Sudan in March, depending on the rapid developments regarding the Sudanese file.
