Turkish Ambassador Follows Up on Steps to Enhance Investment Opportunities in Oil, Gas, and Electricity”

The Turkish ambassador to Sudan, Fatih Yıldız, discussed with the Minister of Energy and Oil, Mohiuddin Naeem, the practical steps to implement the agreements regarding investment between Turkey and Sudan.
The ambassador reiterated his country’s desire to focus on electricity, natural gas, oil and pipelines as a first step. Afterwards, they would transition to cooperation in major projects and strategic collaboration.
He highlighted Turkey’s extensive experience in these fields and expressed a clear interest in having Turkish companies enter the electricity and natural gas sectors. He explained that his country has ambitious plans to invest in Sudan in these areas and cooperate in other economic aspects.
The Turkish ambassador confirmed that he would coordinate efforts with Turkish companies and technicians in electricity and natural gas to facilitate visits for further coordination, aiming for complete cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Minister of Energy and Oil Mohiuddin Naeem Mohamed Said emphasised the investment opportunities available in Sudan in the oil, natural gas, and electricity sectors. He stated that Sudan is open to all those interested in investing in these sectors. He noted that there are significant investment opportunities in electricity, as the investment law in this sector has been amended to allow the private sector to operate, particularly in solar and wind energy generation.
