Trump Advisor Condemns Aid Attack in Kordofan, Demands Accountability

Washington – Sudanhorizon
The United States on Friday condemned an attack on a World Food Programme (WFP) convoy in North Kordofan state.
The convoy was en route to deliver aid to those affected by food shortages when the attack occurred, resulting in one death and several injuries.
This is the second such incident in a week, following a similar attack in Blue Nile state that injured a WFP staff member.
In a tweet on the X platform, US President Trump’s Advisor on African affairs, Massad Boulos, described the destruction of food aid and the targeting of humanitarian workers as “sickening,” emphasizing that the Trump administration will not tolerate any harm to lives or US-funded aid.
He also demanded that the perpetrators be held accountable, offering his condolences to the victims of these “unjustified” events and the bitter wars.
In a statement issued Friday, the North Kordofan state government accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia of targeting aid convoys at three locations in the state, resulting in one fatality and several injuries.
