Sudan’s Al-Hilal Opts for Benghazi as a Virtual Stadium

Nouakchott – Sudanhorizon

Al Hilal sources told (Sudanhorizon) that the Board of Directors of the Sudanese of the club has dispatched a request to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) via the Sudanese Football Association, confirming its desire to move its virtual stadium from Sheikha Bedia, Nouakchott, to the Martyrs of Benina Stadium, Libya.

CAF had previously turned down a request by Al-Hilal to move the stadium for reasons related to TV broadcasting commitments.

The technical staff has meanwhile given the players a rest of ten days as a run-up for its preparatory program for the quarter-final match of the African Champions League in March.

The club’s management has also made adjustments to the team’s roster by including the national team star and Wadi Nyala player, Ali Kibba, in addition to Al-Merrikh midfielder Kardaman in a free transfer deal.
