Sudanese Expert Selected Commissioner for the Arab Smart Court

The Arab League for Arbitration in Economic and Investment Disputes, affiliated to the Council of Arab Economic Unity, has signed an international legal cooperation agreement with the International Court of Arbitration in Stockholm, Sweden.

Counselor Dr. Magdi Ahmed Al-Mustafa Abdel Majeed, a Sudanese national, was appointed as the Court’s Commissioner General, in recognition of his pioneering role in developing the smart arbitration system at the regional and international levels.

Under this agreement, the “Arab Smart Court of Arbitration” was approved as an integrated smart digital department within the International Court of Arbitration, giving it the ability to provide smart international arbitration services to the Arab and African worlds and beyond.

The Secretary-General of the Arab Arbitration League, Counselor Dr. Mohamed Samir Zubaidiya, stated that this agreement represents a qualitative development in the field of smart arbitration, as it opens new horizons for the use of smart technology in settling economic and investment disputes according to the highest international standards, which enhances the position of the Arab world and Africa in the global arbitration scene.
