Sudanese Embassy in Cairo: 40,000 students Sit for the Sudan School Certificate Exams in Egypt

Dr. Asim Ahmed Al-Hassan, the Cultural Attaché at the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, has announced that a joint technical committee between the Ministries of Education in Egypt and Sudan has been formed and tasked with discussing various proposed areas of cooperation, develop practical implementation mechanisms, and monitor and evaluate progress made.

He said the aim is to ensure swift implementation and tangible results as soon as possible, as well as propose appropriate solutions to the problems facing Sudanese schools in Egypt and ways to develop and regulate their status.

The committee will also address the issue of Sudanese schools in Egypt. Al-Hassan said adding that they have been given more than 50 Egyptian schools building on Tuesday to host the Sudan School Certificate (SSC) exams set for April 13th. He noted that this number exceeds the required number and confirmed that all arrangements have been completed for the exams, in full coordination with the Egyptian authorities.
He explained that approximately 40,000 Sudanese students will sit for the exams in Egypt this year. He added that the primary school certificate exams will be held on April 26th, while the intermediate school exams will take place on May 24th.
Al-Hassan emphasized they are implementing these measures in full coordination with the Egyptian authorities, who have directed the relevant departments to fulfill all requirements related to conducting the Sudanese exams. He expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian government for the facilities provided to Sudanese students taking the exams in Egypt.
Al-Hassan has meanwhile pointed to the meeting of the Sudanese Minister of Education, Al-Tohami Al-Zein Hajar, on Tuesday with his Egyptian counterpart, Mohamed Abdel Latif, describing the meeting as fruitful, as it was agreed to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ education ministries in the areas of technical education, developing the educational system, exchanging experiences, in addition to training teachers, printing textbooks, and expanding e-learning, which contributes to improving the quality of education in the country.
