Sudanese Army Takes Down Two Drones that Attacked a Graduation Ceremony Attended by Al-Burhan

The Sudanese army said that it took down with anti-aircraft weapons today, on Wednesday, two hostile drones that targeted a site for the celebration of the graduation of batches from the Sudanese military, air and naval colleges, after its conclusion at the “Jebeit” camp in the east of the country.
A statement by the army, a copy of which was received by the Sudanhorizon news website, said: “The incident resulted in the martyrdom of five souls and minor injuries that are being counted.”
The statement stated that the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, witnessed in Jebeit, Red Sea State, the graduation ceremony of batches (68) of the Military College and batches (20) and (23) of the Qualifying and Air College and the Naval Academy, in the presence of a number of leaders of the armed forces, police and security services, in addition to the families of the graduates.
The celebration witnessed a military parade by the graduating students, reflecting the training doses and skills they acquired during the preparation and training period, in addition to the high level of military discipline.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces honored the outstanding and top military students in appreciation of their excellence during the military training period at the Military College.
Press sources later said that the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council headed to the Arab Republic of Egypt upon his return from the celebration venue on an official visit, during which he may meet with some leaders from countries accused of involvement in supporting the Rapid Support Forces rebels fighting the Sudanese army.
