Sudanese Army Takes Control of a New Area in Blue Nile State

The Sudanese Army announced on Thursday its control of a new area in Blue Nile State, the “Maklan” area.
The official army spokesman, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah, said in a brief message posted on the Armed Forces’ Facebook page: “Our forces in the Fourth Division of Damazin continue to crush the remnants of the militia in the Bau County and today cleansed the Malkan area.”
The Sudanese Army announced on Wednesday that it had extended its control over the “Baldago” area in Blue Nile State.
Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah stated: “Thanks be to God, our forces in the Fourth Division of Damazin have cleansed the area of Baldago and its surroundings in Maban County of the remnants of the Al-Dagalo militia and the forces of Joseph Tuka, affiliated with the Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA), led by Abdelaziz Al-Hilu.”
