Sudanese Army Continues Advancing for the Third Day to Regain Control of Khartoum

Khartoum – Sudanhorizon

Sudanese army forces advanced on the third day of the military operation aimed at regaining control of the capital, Khartoum, specifically in the area of the confluence of the Nile rivers.

According to field sources speaking to the Sudanhorizon news website, Sudanese army forces took control of the high-rise buildings between the Medical Corps Bridge and Al-Fatihab Bridge on the eastern bank of the Nile River early Thursday morning after crossing from the western bank.

The sources indicated that deploying the Sudanese army forces is part of a military plan to connect various sites and garrisons within the capital.

The Sudanese army forces coming from the Al-Kadro military area north of Khartoum Bahri successfully joined forces with the army units coming from the Karari military area via the Al-Halfaya Bridge over the Nile River, pushing southward into Khartoum Bahri and clashing with Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in the Shambat area.

According to the sources, the third phase of the military link-up between the Signal Corps and Al-Kadro forces is expected to be completed soon.
