Sudan Welcomes Türkiye’s Contribution to Rebuilding Sudan from Debris of War

The Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Ahlam Mehdi Sabeel, affirmed her country’s keenness on Türkiye’s contribution to reconstructing what was destroyed by the war in Sudan.

The Minister addressed the Sudanese-Turkish Businessmen Forum for Investment and Trade, held in Istanbul today, on Thursday, in the presence of the Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade and the Deputy Mayor of the city, in the presence of the Turkish Businessmen Association (MUSIAD), and the Sudanese-Turkish Businessmen Council, and in the honourable presence of the Sudanese Ambassador to Turkey, Nader Youssef Al-Tayeb, and a group of Sudanese and Turkish businessmen and major Turkish companies in various sectors, with the participation of 50 Sudanese-Turkish companies.

The minister said that the forum aims to enhance investment opportunities and cooperation with the State of Türkiye by presenting the available investment opportunities, focusing on the trade, agriculture, and mining sectors.

She explained that the forum will discuss the investment file in Sudan in its sessions and the opportunities available in light of the necessary strategies developed by the Ministry of Investment to attract more Turkish investments to Sudan.

It is noteworthy that an exhibition accompanied the forum on investment opportunities in Sudan in light of digital transformation.
