Sudan Welcomes Ankara’s Positive Role in Resolving the Ethiopia-Somalia Dispute

Sudan has welcomed the Ankara Declaration, signed on December 11 between Somalia and Ethiopia under the auspices of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The agreement emphasized mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity and pledged joint cooperation to serve the interests of the peoples of both nations.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs praised Turkey’s positive role in fostering understanding and collaboration between Somalia and Ethiopia, helping to overcome disputes, and working together to strengthen peace and stability in both countries and the broader Horn of Africa region.
