Sudan to Present its Statement to the Human Rights Council in Geneva

Sudanese Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Derf is due to deliver on Wednesday Sudan’s statement during the high-level meeting of the general debate at the Human Rights Council, as part of the Council’s 61st session, which began two days ago. The statement will be reviewed during the interactive dialogue session on Sudan on Thursday.
The Minister will also hold a number of meetings, including with the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the President of the Human Rights Council, and the expert appointed on the situation of human rights in Sudan, on the sidelines of the current session. He will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from other participating delegations.
Minister of Justice Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Derf arrived in Geneva Tuesday , heading the Sudanese delegation participating in the 61st session of the Human Rights Council. He was received by the Sudan Permanent Representative, Ambassador Hassan Hamid.
