Cairo – Sudanhorizon
Sudan’s Ambassador to Cairo and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Lieutenant General (Engineer) Imad El-Din Mustafa Adawi, affirmed the transitional government’s commitment to developing human resource capacities, reiterating Sudan’s welcome of cooperation with the Arab League and its specialized organizations in supporting recovery efforts and rebuilding the civil service.
Adawi explained that the Arab League’s Economic and Social Council, during its current 117th session held this week, will consider Sudan’s request to launch a national project aimed at developing Sudanese human resource capabilities, alongside discussing ways to provide the necessary Arab support through Arab countries and joint Arab action institutions.
He noted that Sudan will present to Arab partners, during its participation in the council’s meetings, the current economic and social challenges facing the country, as well as the transitional government’s efforts to advance economic and social recovery. These efforts include strengthening digital transformation, enhancing intra-Arab trade, and presenting Sudan’s vision for strengthening energy security in the Arab region.
It is noteworthy that Sudan participated in the preparatory economic and social committee meetings of the council, during which the country’s efforts in developing human resource capacities were reviewed.
