Sudan Refutes Allegations of Sending an Envoy to Israel

Port Sudan – Sudanhorizon
The Sudanese government has categorically rejected reports that it has dispatched an envoy to Israel to discuss normalizing of relations.
The Minister of Culture and Information and official government spokesman, Khaled Al-Aiser, said in a statement that the Sudanese government would like to confirm it has not sent any envoy to Israel, and that what was being circulated by some media outlets on this matter was completely false.
The minister has urged the media to ensure accuracy, objectivity, and professionalism, and to avoid publishing unreliable information.
It is to be noted that over the past two days, Sudanese media and social media outlets have circulated news attributed to Israeli media stating that the advisor to the President of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Al-Sadig Ismail, has recently paid a visit to Israel and discussed with its prime minister the path to normalization between the two countries.
