Sudan: Implementation of Policies and Measures to Improve Sudanese Meat Exports

The Al-Kadru Food Industries Corporation hosted a high-level joint meeting, chaired by the Minister of Livestock and Fisheries, and comprising representatives from the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, the Al-Kadru Food Industries Corporation, the head of the Export Development Group, and the director of the Al-Kadru Corporation.
This meeting was part of ongoing efforts to develop and promote Sudanese meat exports and supply the local market, with a primary focus on meeting the requirements and standards of the Saudi market.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance technical cooperation and unify visions among relevant parties to ensure the quality and competitiveness of Sudanese products in foreign markets and to overcome all obstacles facing the export sector.
Following the meeting, the delegation inspected the facilities and factory of the Al-Kadru Food Industries Corporation to observe the production lines firsthand and discuss mechanisms for joint technical support.
The Minister of Livestock and Fisheries emphasized the strategic importance of the meat sector in supporting the national economy, stressing the need for strict adherence to health and veterinary standards that guarantee the safety of exports and open up broader horizons for them in regional and international markets.
In the same context, the Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, Rahba Saeed, confirmed the availability of all the basic and technical components necessary to develop Sudanese meat exports in accordance with international standards, noting that the promotion of this vital sector is based primarily on the combined efforts of national partners and the integration of their roles to ensure the quality of the product from origin to the end consumer in line with the aspirations of the targeted markets, especially the Saudi market.
