Sudan Halts Imports of Kenyan Goods

The Sudanese Ministry of Trade has announced the suspension of imports of all products from Kenya in response to Kenya’s support for the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.
Minister of Trade Omar Ahmed Mohamed Ali issued a decision to this effect based on Cabinet Resolution No. 128 of 2024, which mandates the halt of all imports from Kenya through all ports, crossings, airports, and border points.
This decision is made in light of Kenya’s hosting of the RSF militia and its allies, its sponsorship of their activities and meetings, and to safeguard Sudan’s interests.
